This afternoon, December 2, 2014 , my lawsuit against Obamacare,Hotze v. Burwell, was heard by a three-judge panel of the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals in New Orleans.  This is just one level below the United States Supreme Court.

U.S. Senators Cornyn and Cruz, ninety congressmen and twenty state attorney generals filed amicus briefs in support of my lawsuit. My counsel, Andy Schlafly, led the argument that Obamacare violates the Origination Clause, which is Article 1, Section 7 of the United States Constitution which states that all revenue raising bills must start in the U.S. Congress. Obamacare was initiated in the U.S. Senate.

The three-judge panel displayed great interest in the case and asked many questions on both sides.  An attorney representing the House leadership also appeared and argued in support of my case.

Please take a moment to watch the attached one minute video with our statements outside the federal courthouse in New Orleans shortly after the conclusion of the hearing.

We await the court ruling which could come at any time.

With much appreciation for your continued friendship and support, I remain, as always,

Sincerely yours for Constitutional liberty,

Steven F. Hotze, M.D.
